Enumeration of Weekly Consumer Price Survey Document HK 1.1

On Monday (25/3), the Statistics of Metro Municipality conducted routine weekly enumeration for the Consumer Price Survey (SHK) under document type HK 1.1. This document is used to record price changes of both food and non-food commodities with relatively high price volatility such as rice, red chili, shallots, bird's eye chili, garlic, jewelry gold, and other staple commodities. Enumeration took place in traditional markets (Cendrawasih Market/Kopindo complex), outlets (Alfamart & Indomart), and modern markets (Chandra & PB Swalayan). The output of the Consumer Price Survey is the Consumer Price Index, which reflects the inflation or deflation rate in Metro City every month.

This enumeration marks the last week of SHK 1.1 enumeration in March 2024, coinciding with the holy month of Ramadhan in 1455 H. Hence, in early April 2024, the inflation figure for Metro City in March 2024 will be released. From this inflation figure, the impact of the holy month of Ramadhan on the average price changes of goods and services in Metro City will be determined.
