University of Lampung Students Officially Intern at Statistics of Metro Municipality

The Statistics of Metro Municipality (BPS Kota Metro) has welcomed two female students from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Department of Mathematics, University of Lampung, to undertake an internship or Field Work Practice (PKL) at the agency.

The official reception was held on Monday, December 23, 2024, by Mr. Ade Fitriansyah, the Head of General Affairs at BPS Kota Metro, and Mrs. Arum Purbowati, the Head of BPS Kota Metro. On this occasion, the two students were warmly welcomed and introduced to the work environment and the tasks they will undertake during their internship.

The internship program will last for 40 days, during which the students will have the opportunity to be directly involved in various operational activities of BPS, including the collection and analysis of statistical data, information processing, and other supporting activities.

Mrs. Arum Purbowati expressed her hope that this experience would serve as a valuable learning opportunity for the students. "We hope this internship program will be a valuable experience and provide real insights for the students on how statistical data is processed and utilized to support public policy," she said.

With the acceptance of these two students, BPS Kota Metro continues to demonstrate its support for the educational sector through collaboration with universities, while also contributing to the development of student competencies in statistics and related fields.
