Audience with the Secretary of Metro Municipality for the Launch of the Statistics Corner

Metro City, December 30, 2024 – The Head of the Statistics of Metro Municipality (BPS Kota Metro), Mrs. Arum Purbowati, today held an audience with the Secretary of Metro Municipality, Ir. Bangkit Haryo Utomo, at the office of the Secretary of Metro Municipality. The meeting discussed preparations for the launch of the "Statistics Corner," which will be held at Muhammadiyah University of Metro City, a strategic innovation aimed at providing access to statistical data for the people of Metro City.

The meeting also addressed the strategic location of the "Statistics Corner" to be launched at Muhammadiyah University of Metro City. This placement is expected to attract the interest of academics, students, and the general public to utilize the facility. Additionally, both parties agreed to involve various community elements, including business actors, in supporting the optimization of the "Statistics Corner.

The "Statistics Corner" is planned to be inaugurated in early 2025 and will be part of the work program of BPS Kota Metro to enhance data literacy. As an initial step, BPS Kota Metro will conduct training for the staff who will manage the "Statistics Corner" to ensure they can provide excellent service to the community.

The audience concluded with the signing of a memorandum of understanding between BPS Kota Metro and the Metro Municipality Government as a form of joint commitment to support the success of the "Statistics Corner." With this spirit of collaboration, it is hoped that Metro City can become a pioneer in providing quality data at the local level.
