Coordination Meeting on Regional Inflation Control for 2025

Metro, January 6, 2025 – The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Metro City participated in the Coordination Meeting (Rakor) on Regional Inflation Control for 2025, held on Monday, January 6, 2025, in the Operation Room (OR) of the Metro City Secretariat.

This activity is a follow-up to the Radiogram from the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia Number 500.2.3/19/SJ dated January 3, 2025, with the main agenda to discuss strategies and concrete steps to maintain inflation stability in the region.

The meeting was attended by several regional officials, including the Secretary of Metro City, Mr. Bangkit Haryo Utomo, who led the meeting. BPS Kota Metro was represented by Mr. Yosep, SST., MIDEC, as a Senior Statistician.

 

During the meeting, BPS Kota Metro provided the latest information on the inflation conditions in Metro City and offered recommendations based on accurate statistical data. The discussion focused on strategic steps to maintain price stability, including:

1. Monitoring the prices of essential goods and strategic items in local markets.

2. Enhancing coordination among agencies to ensure the availability of supplies and distribution of goods.

3. Formulating policies that are responsive to price fluctuations in the community.

Mr. Bangkit Haryo Utomo emphasized the importance of synergy among agencies in keeping inflation under control. “Stable inflation is key to economic growth and community welfare. We need to work closely together to achieve this goal,” he asserted.

With the participation of BPS Kota Metro in this meeting, it is hoped that the policy-making for inflation control in Metro City can be more directed and based on accurate data. This joint commitment is an important step in supporting economic stability and community welfare in 2025.
