Inflation in Metro Municipality - January 2025

In January 2025, Metro Municipality experienced a deflation of 0.28% (mtm). The primary cause of this deflation was the 50% discount on electricity tariffs introduced by PLN for the period of January to February 2025, which significantly contributed to the decline in prices this month. 

 

Additionally, the decrease in prices of commodities such as shallots, tomatoes, catfish, and carp also played a role in driving deflation in Metro Municipality. 

 

Despite this, on a year-on-year (yoy) basis, Metro Municipality still recorded an inflation rate of 1.54%.
