Fluctuations in Tourist Visits to Metro Municipality (2017–2023)

Data shows significant changes in the number of tourist visits to Metro Municipality during the 2017–2023 period:

In 2018, the highest number of visits was recorded at 374,098 visitors, supported by effective tourism promotions and a variety of events.

In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic led to an 87% decline in visits compared to 2019 due to travel restrictions and the closure of tourist destinations.

By 2023, a recovery trend was observed with a 40% increase in visits compared to the previous year, indicating gradual improvement in the tourism sector.
