Public and Private Senior High Schools in Metro Municipality for the 2023/2024 Academic Year

Based on data from the first semester of the 2023/2024 academic year, the state of senior high school (SMA) education in Metro Municipality presents an interesting comparison between public and private schools. There are 7 public high schools (SMA Negeri) with 325 teachers and a total of 5,460 students. Meanwhile, the number of private high schools (SMA Swasta) is higher, with 14 schools, but they have fewer teachers (244) and students (2,954).

This data reveals that although there are more private high schools, student interest in public high schools appears to be significantly higher. Such information plays a crucial role in planning and improving the quality of education in Metro Municipality.
