Statistics of Metro Municipality Conduct Field Data Collection of Rice Retail Sales Volume Survey

On May 5, 2025, Statistics of Metro Municipality again carried out field data collection activities for the Rice Retail Sales Volume Survey (SVPEB). This survey aims to obtain accurate data on the volume of retail rice sales that occur in the Metro Municipality area.

In its implementation, Statistics of Metro Municipality officers conducted direct interviews with a number of shops that had been determined as samples. They counted the volume of rice sales in kilograms during a certain period to collect an overview of rice consumption and distribution at the retail level.

Data from this survey is one of the important indicators to support food policies, especially in maintaining the stability of the supply and price of rice as a staple commodity for the community.
