Abstract

February 2016, Lampung Composite CPI index decreased from 125.24 in January 2016 became 124.78 in February 2016, thus a deflation of 0.36 percent.

Based on the calculation of the rate of inflation (point to point) in February 2016 a deflation of 0.05 percent, and inflation year on year (yoy) in February 2016 amounted to 5.29 percent.

Of the seven expenditure groups, there are three groups of deflation which food group fell 1.26 percent; tarnsport group, communication and financial services 0.34 percent; and housing water, electricity, gas and fuel 0.29 percent. Four other groups experienced inflation, namely the health group rose 12:43 percent; food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco rose 0.24 percent; and clothing was up 0.14 percent.

Monitoring of two cities in Lampung in February 2016, Bandar Lampung Metro deflation and inflation. Bandar Lampung deflation of 0.51 percent, while the Metro inflation of 0.42 percent.

Inflation in Bandar Lampung is ranked 74th and Metro City ranked 5th, from 82 cities observed price changes. Of the 82 cities, 52 cities experienced deflation and 30 cities experienced inflation. The highest inflation was in Tanjung Pandan 1.02 percent, while the lowest inflation was recorded at 0.02 percent Banda Aceh. Merauke experienced high deflation of 2.45 percent, deflation experienced Sibolga lower by 0.02 percent.

Foodstuffs contributes deflation of 1.26 percent. The subgroup being the largest contributor to deflation spices subgroup of 0.17 percent.
