April 2016, the city of Bandar Lampung, namely deflation of 0.76 percent after the previous month's inflation. Five groups of expenditure contributed to deflation in Bandar Lampung, namely foodstuffs contributes deflation of 1.94 percent; food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco by 0.01 per cent; housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel by 0.19 percent; education, recreation and sports by 0.10 percent; and transportation, communication and financial services by 1.63 percent. Instead of two groups, namely the clothing group contributed inflation of 0.36 percent, and health groups give of 0.22 percent.
Some commodities are predominantly contribute to deflation such as rice, petrol, red chili, electricity, cayenne pepper, squid, solar, wet shrimp, young jackfruit and River Transport, Lake, and Ferry (ASDP).
Based on the calculation of the Consumer Price Index (CPI), deflation of Bandar Lampung due to densport, communications, and financial services dropped 1.63 percent; and housing, water, electricity, gas, and fuel fell 0.19 percent. Instead clothing and health group index increased respectively by 0.36 percent and 0.22 percent.
Inflation in Bandar Lampung is ranked 68th of the 82 cities observed price changes. Of the 82 cities, 5 cities experienced inflation and 77 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation was in Tarakan by 0.45 percent, while the lowest inflation was recorded at 0.04 percent in London. Sibolga experienced the highest deflation of 1.79 percent, the lowest experienced deflation of 0.06 percent Singaraja.
Bandar Lampung, in April 2016 based on the calculation of the rate of inflation (point to point) amounted to -0.52 percent and inflation year on year (yoy) was at 3.78 percent.
