April 2017, CPI Combined Lampung index decreased from 129.93 in March 2017 to 129.66 in April 2017, thus there was a deflation of 0.21 percent.
Based on the April 2017 calendar (point to point) inflation rate of 1.06 percent, and year-on-year inflation (yoy) in April 2017 is 4.26 percent.
Of the seven expenditure groups, four groups experienced inflation: housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel rose 1.13 percent; Clothing group rose 0.25 percent; Health groups rose 0.04 percent; And education, recreation and sports groups rose 0.01 percent. Conversely, the group experienced deflation, namely foodstuffs which fell 1.97 percent; While food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco group decreased by 0.13 percent; And the transport, communications and financial services group fell 0.03 percent
From two monitoring cities in Lampung in April 2017, all of them experienced deflation. Bandar Lampung's deflation was 0.21 percent, and the deflation was 0.17 percent.
Bandar Lampung City's deflation was ranked 68th and Metro City ranked 65th out of 82 cities observed for its price growth. Of 82 cities, 29 CPI cities experienced deflation and 53 cities experienced inflation. The highest inflation occurred in the pinang base of 1.02 percent, while the lowest inflation occurred in pare-pare by 0.05 percent. In contrast, the highest deflation experienced Ambon by 0.76 percent, and the lowest occurred in Manado and Jakarta by 0.02 percent.
The foodstuff group contributed to the highest deflation, at 1.97 percent. The subgroup that became the largest contributor to the deflation was a subgroup of spices of 11.51 percent.
