NTP Lampung Province May 2017 for each subsector recorded at 101.52 for Rice & Palawija Subsector (NTP-P), 97.25 for Horticulture Subsector (NTP-H), 104.23 for Smallholder Subsector (NTP-Pr) ), 116.12 for Livestock Subsector (NTP-Pt), 111.03 for Capture Fisheries Sub-sector, and 94.35 for Aquaculture Sub-sector. While NTP Lampung Province recorded at 104.58.
In May 2017, several commodities experienced price increases, among others in food crops such as rice, corn, beans, cassava and sweet potatoes. In horticultural crops, such as red peppers, some vegetables and fruits such as avocado also experience price increases. As for some commodities in the sub-sector of plantations, livestock, and fisheries have decreased in price.
Most of the sub-sectors experienced a decrease in NTP in May 2017, except for food crops and horticulture sub-sector. In detail, the food crops sub-sector increased by 1.78 percent, horticulture crop sub-sector increased by 0.75 percent, the sub-sector of smallholder estates fell by 0.17 percent, the livestock sub-sector decreased by 0.33 percent, the fisheries sub-sector decreased by 0.25 percent, and the aquaculture subsector fell by 0.57 percent. NTP Lampung Province combined by 0.47 percent.
Of the 33 provinces observed in May 2017, there were 12 provinces experiencing increases in NTP and 21 other provinces decreased. The highest increase in NTP occurred in West Java Province with an increase of 1.05 percent, while the largest NTP decline occurred in Bangka Belitung Province which decreased by 1.91 percent.
May 2017 in rural areas in Lampung Province experienced inflation of 0.79 percent. Inflation was attributed to the rise in the index of prices in almost all groups: foodstuffs, clothing, foodstuffs, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco groups, housing groups, healthcare groups and education, recreation and sports groups. While the transport and communication group experienced a decrease in the price index.
