December 2017, CPI Combined Lampung index rose from 131.61 in November 2017 to 132.18 in December 2017, thus inflation of 0.43 percent.
Based on the calculation of year to point inflation in December 2017 and year on year (yoy) inflation in December 2017 is 3.02 percent.
Of the seven expenditure groups, four groups experienced inflation, ie foodstuff category experienced inflation (up by 1.32 percent); processed food, beverages, cigarette and tobacco by 0.23 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel group 0.15 percent; and the transportation, communication and financial services group 0.27 percent. Conversely, the health group experienced a deflation of 0.31 percent; and the education, recreation and sports group by 0.01 percent. While the clothing group did not experience any index changes.
From two monitoring cities in Lampung in December 2017, all experienced inflation. Bandar Lampung inflation was 0.47 percent, and Metro inflation was 0.23 percent.
Bandar Lampung City Inflation was ranked 66th and City of Metro ranked 81st, out of 82 cities observed the development of its price. Out of 82 cities, all CPI cities experienced inflation. The highest inflation occurred in Jayapura at 2.28 percent, while the lowest inflation occurred in Sorong at 0.18 percent.
The foodstuff group contributed the highest inflation, which was 0.32 percent. The subgroup that became the highest inflation contributor in December 2017 is a subgroup of grains, tubers and the result of 0.13 percent.
