March 2018, CPI Combined Lampung Index increase from 133.97 in February 2018 to 134.13 in March 2018, thus inflation of 0.12 percent.
Based on the March 2018 calendar (point to point) inflation rate of 1.48 percent and year on year inflation (yoy) in March 2018 was 3.23 percent.
From seven expenditure groups, six groups experienced inflation, ie foodstuff category experienced inflation (up by 0.25 percent); finished food, beverages, cigarette and tobacco 0.01 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel 0.02 percent; clothing group 0.09 percent; health group 0.30 percent; and the transport, communication and financial services group 0.24 percent. Meanwhile, education, recreation and sports groups did not experience any changes in index.
From two monitoring cities in Lampung in March 2018, all experienced inflation. Bandar Lampung inflation was 0.11 percent, and Metro inflation was 0.17 percent.
Bandar Lampung City Inflation was ranked 44 th and Metro City ranked 36th, out of 82 cities observed the development of its price. Out of 82 cities, 57 CPI cities experienced inflation and 25 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Jayapura at 2.10 percent, while the lowest inflation occurred in Sumenep by 0.01 percent. Tual's highest deflation was -2.30 percent and the lowest deflation experienced by Bulukumba was -0.01 percent.
The foodstuff group contributed the highest inflation, which was 0.06 percent. The subgroup that became the highest inflation contributor in March 2018 was a subgroup of spices by 0.24 percent.
