October 2018, Lampung Joint CPI experienced an increase in index from 134.95 in September 2018 to 135.02 in October 2018, thus inflation was at 0.05 percent.
Based on the October 2018 calendar year inflation (point to point) of 2.15 percent and October 2018 year on year (yoy) inflation is 2.79 percent.
Of the seven expenditure groups, four groups experienced inflation, namely the transport, communication and financial services group experienced inflation of 0.66 percent; clothing group 0.08 percent; processed food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco group 0.03 percent; and the health group 0.03 percent. In contrast, the foodstuffs group experienced deflation (down by 0.16 percent); and housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel by 0.06 percent. Meanwhile, the education, recreation and sports groups did not experience changes in the index.
Of the two monitoring cities in Lampung in October 2018, all experienced inflation. Bandar Lampung inflation is 0.02 percent, and Metro inflation is 0.22 percent.
Inflation in Bandar Lampung was ranked 64th and Metro City was ranked 7th, out of 82 cities which observed price developments. Out of 82 cities, 66 CPI cities experienced inflation and 16 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Palu at 2.27 percent, and the lowest inflation occurred in Cilegon by 0.01 percent. Meanwhile, the highest deflation occurred in Bengkulu at 0.74 percent, and the lowest deflation occurred in Tangerang by 0.01 percent.
The transportation, communication and financial services group contributed the highest inflation, which was 0.10 percent. The subgroup which was the highest contributor to inflation in October 2018 was the transportation sub-group of 0.10 percent.
