Lampung Province NTP December 2018 for each sub-sector recorded the Rice & Crops Subsector (NTP-P) (119.73), Horticulture (NTP-H) (94.17), Community Plantation Plants (NTP-Pr) (92.98) ), Animal Husbandry (NTP-Pt) (114.61), Capture Fisheries (117.10), and Aquaculture (95.84). While the Lampung Province NTP was recorded at 105.60.
In December 2018, several commodities experienced price increases, including commodities in the food crops, horticulture and livestock sub-sectors, such as grain, corn, cayenne pepper, and some vegetables, large livestock, small livestock, and chicken eggs. While the plantation subsector, capture fisheries, and cultivation experienced price declines in coconut, cocoa, palm oil, several types of capture fisheries, and aquaculture.
In detail, the December 2018 NTP increase or decrease, the food crop subsector rose 0.47 percent, the horticulture sub-sector rose by 0.38 percent, the smallholder plantation subsector fell by 0.49 percent, the livestock subsector rose by 0.91 percent, the subsector capture fisheries fell by 0.16 percent, and the aquaculture subsector fell by 0.04 percent. The Lampung Province NTP combined rose by 0.26 percent.
Of the 33 provinces that observed price developments in December 2018, there were 11 provinces experiencing an increase in NTP and 22 other provinces experiencing a decline. The highest increase in NTP occurred in Maluku Province with an increase of 0.81 percent, while the largest decrease in NTP occurred in West Sulawesi Province which fell by 2.34 percent.
In December 2018 rural areas in Lampung Province experienced inflation of 0.25 percent due to an increase in the entire group price index, namely the foodstuffs group by 0.25 percent, processed foods, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco by 0.35 percent, housing group by 0,14 percent, clothing group by 0,09 percent, health group by 0,08 percent, education, recreation and sports group by 0,16 percent, and transportation and communication group by 0,39 percent.
