Abstract

In June 2024, there will be year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Metro City of 2.37 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105.52.
Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in all expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 6.31 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.95 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.19 percent; health group by 2.05 percent; transportation group by 1.58 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 0.65 percent; education group by 1.20 percent; and the food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 2.06 percent. Meanwhile, the groups that experienced a decline in the index were: equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group by 0.35 percent; information, communication and financial services group at 1.38 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 0.29 percent.
