October 2024 Metro Municipality Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation is 1.58 percent.

Abstract

y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by the increase in all expenditure group indices, namely: food, beverage and tobacco by 2.97 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.71 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel groups by 1.71 percent; health group by 1.61 percent; transportation group by 0.64 percent; the information, communication, and financial services group by 0.03 percent; recreation, sports, and culture groups by 0.53 percent; education group by 2.46 percent; the food and beverage/restaurant supply group by 2.01 percent; and the personal care and other services group by 0.55 percent. Meanwhile, the group that experienced a decrease in the index, namely: the group of household equipment, equipment and routine maintenance by 0.88 percent.
