Group Exercise and Blood Donation Event for National Statistics Day Celebration

In commemoration of National Statistics Day (HSN) 2024, the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of Kota Metro organized a group exercise and a blood donation social service event. The activity, which was attended by all employees, BPS partners, and the community, was also graced by the presence of the Mayor of Kota Metro, Wahdi, Deputy Mayor Qomaru Zaman, Chairperson of the Regional House of Representatives Ria Hartini, Head of BPS Arum Purbowati, Assistant II of the Regional Secretariat Yeri Ehwan, and the Head of the Economic Affairs Department Yulia Chandrasari.

On this occasion, Mayor of Kota Metro, Dr. Wahdi, warmly welcomed and appreciated the activities organized by BPS Kota Metro. He also encouraged the public to contribute to the development of Kota Metro by providing accurate and reliable data.

"On behalf of the Kota Metro Government, I warmly welcome and appreciate the activities organized by BPS. Hopefully, BPS will continue to provide accurate data towards a One Data Indonesia," he said.

Deputy Mayor of Metro, Drs. Qomaru Zaman, mentioned that this was his first visit to the BPS Kota Metro Office. He hoped that BPS would introduce statistics more frequently to the public and Regional Work Units (OPDs), so that people would feel closer to BPS and be able to distinguish it from BPJS.

"I appreciate and support BPS activities in providing precise and accurate data," he stated.

Meanwhile, the Head of BPS Kota Metro, Arum Purbowati, expressed her appreciation for the participation of all related OPDs who were involved in the group exercise and blood donation social service event.

She also expressed her happiness with the presence of the Mayor and Deputy Mayor in the HSN commemoration activities at BPS Kota Metro. She mentioned that the HSN event, combined with the group exercise and blood donation social service, was carried out to bring BPS closer to the community and to make it more beneficial.

In this activity, they collaborated with several related OPDs, such as the Population and Civil Registration Office (Disdukcapil), which provided socialization and services for activating the Digital Population Identity (IKD).

"Then PT Jasa Raharja offered free health checks. We also invited several BPS partners and respondent companies such as Aidea Hotel. In addition, employees and the community were invited to enliven the HSN event," she explained.

The Head of BPS Kota Metro, Arum Purbowati, further explained that HSN is officially commemorated every 26th of September. For this year's HSN celebration, BPS Kota Metro carried the theme "Quality Statistics for Achieving a Golden Indonesia 2045."
