Head of BPS Metro City Attends High Level Meeting to Anticipate Price Spikes Ahead of Nataru

On October 28, 2024, the Metro City Government together with Forkopimda held a High Level Meeting (HLM) of the Regional Inflation Control Team (TPID) at the Operation Room of the Regional Secretariat. This meeting aimed to discuss preparations for Christmas 2024 and New Year 2025 (Nataru), especially in maintaining price stability of basic needs.

Pjs. Metro Mayor, Descatama Paksi Moeda, directly led the meeting which was attended by various heads of regional apparatus, starting from Assistant II Metro Mayor, Head of BPS Metro City starting from the Chairman of DPRD, Dandim, Kapolres, to the heads of related OPDs. During the meeting, various strategies and concrete steps were discussed to anticipate price spikes that often occur before Nataru.

As an institution that has an important role in providing statistical data, BPS Metro City actively contributes to inflation control. Arum Purbowati on the occasion conveyed the latest data on the price development of a number of commodities in Metro City. These data become an important reference for the government in making policies to maintain price stability.
