Metro, January 3, 2025 – The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Metro City has conducted the HK 1.1 survey, a weekly price survey taking place during the first week of January 2025. This survey is being carried out at various shopping centers and traditional markets in Metro City by official field officers from BPS Metro City.
The
purpose of this activity is to collect price data for various essential
commodities that are part of the Consumer Price Index (CPI). The data collected
will be used for analyzing price changes of goods and services and as an
indicator of inflation in the Metro City area.
The
Head of BPS Metro City, Mrs. Arum Purbowati, stated that this price survey is
part of BPS's efforts to provide quality and accurate data to support the
formulation of economic policies at both the regional and national levels.
"The HK 1.1 survey is the first step in ensuring that inflation data is
continuously monitored and serves as a primary reference for the government in
making decisions," she said.
BPS
field officers are equipped with official identification and survey equipment
according to operational standards. The public is encouraged to support this
activity by providing accurate and relevant price information.
The
results of this survey will be published periodically by BPS Metro City in
official reports. It is hoped that the data obtained can help maintain price
stability and improve the welfare of the people of Metro City.
