Abstract

Based on the calculation of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) in December 2014, Metro City inflation occurs because of the rise in the index in all expenditure groups namely transport, communication and financial services with the largest increase in the index which is 8.69 percent; followed by food group rose by 2.83 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel rose 2.29 percent; group health index increased by 2.00 percent; food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco experienced inflation of 0.15 percent; clothing with inflation of 0.14 percent; as well as education, recreation and sport rose 0.07 percent.
