January 2016, Lampung Composite CPI index increased from 124.84 in December 2015 to 125.24 in January 2016, thus an inflation of 0.32 percent.
Based on the calculation of the rate of inflation (point to point) in January 2016 is 0.32 percent, and inflation year on year (yoy) in January 2016 is 5.26 percent.
From the seven expenditure groups, only one experiencing deflation namely the transport, communications, and financial services were down 1.28 percent. Six other groups experienced inflation, namely foodstuffs rose 1.21 percent; housing up 0.54 percent; clothing rose 0.40 percent; health services group rose 0.24 percent; food, beverages, and tobacco products rose 0.22 percent; while the education, recreation and sport does not change the index.
Monitoring of two cities in Lampung in January 2016, wholly experienced inflation. Bandar Lampung inflation of 0.26 percent, while the Metro deflation of 0.64 percent.
Inflation in Bandar Lampung is ranked 70th and Metro City ranked 33, from the 82 cities observed price changes. Of the 82 cities, 75 cities experienced inflation and 7 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation was in Sibolga by 1.82 percent, while the lowest inflation was recorded at 0.02 percent Padang. Gorontalo experienced high deflation by 0.58 per cent, lower deflation experienced Tanjung Pandan 0.02 percent.
Group transport, communications, and financial services contributed deflation of 1.28 percent. The subgroup being the largest contributor to deflation is a subgroup of transport by 0.17 percent.
