April 2016, Lampung Composite CPI index decreased from 125.32 in March 2016 became 124.37 in April 2016, thus a deflation of 0.76 percent.
Based on the calculation of the rate of inflation (point to point) April 2016 experienced inflation of -0.38 percent, and inflation year on year (yoy) in April 2016 was 3.80 percent.
Of the seven expenditure groups, four groups experienced deflation, namely food group fell 1.90 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas, and fuel fell 0.21 percent; education, recreation, and sport down 0.08 percent; and transportation, communication and financial services dropped 1.70 percent. Instead clothing group experienced inflation of 0.34 percent, and health group experienced inflation of 0.17 percent. Food, drinks, cigarettes, and tobacco does not change the index.

Inflation in Bandar Lampung is ranked 68th and Metro City ranked 69th of the 82 cities observed price changes. Of the 82 cities, 5 cities experienced inflation and 77 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation was in Tarakan by 0.45 percent, while the lowest inflation was recorded at 0.04 percent in London. Sibolga experienced high deflation of 1.79 percent, deflation experienced Singaraja lower by 0.06 percent.
The food category contributed 0.47 percent of the total of deflation. The subgroup being the largest contributor to deflation is a subgroup of grains, tubers and the result by 0.38 percent.
