NTP Lampung Province April 2017 for each sub-sector was recorded at 99.74 for the Rice & Palawija Subsector (NTP-P), 96.52 for the Horticulture Subsector (NTP-H), 104.41 for the Subsector of Plantation (NTP-Pr ), 116.49 for Livestock Sub-sector (NTP-Pt), 111.30 for Fishing Capture Subsector, and 94.89 for Aquaculture Sub-sector. While NTP Lampung Province was recorded at 104.09.
In April 2017, several commodities experienced price increases, among others in food crops such as corn and sweet potatoes. In livestock such as beef cattle and chicken, and some types of fish catch and fish cultivation. Meanwhile, in the horticulture subsector experienced a decrease in prices such as; Red chillies, cayenne pepper, and mustard / chinese. In plantation crops commodities that experienced price declines such as pepper, coffee, cocoa, and rubber.
Most of the sub-sectors experienced an increase in NTP in April 2017, except for horticulture sub-sector. In detail, the food crops sub-sector experienced an increase of 0.33 percent, horticultural crops sub-sector decreased by 0.55 percent, the subsector of smallholder estates increased by 0.12 percent, the livestock sub-sector increased by 0.83 percent, the fisheries sub-sector increased by 1.36 percent, and the aquaculture subsector rose by 0.26 percent. NTP Lampung Province combined by 0.26 percent.
Of the 33 provinces observed in April 2017, there were 15 provinces experiencing increases in NTP and 18 other provinces decreased. The highest increase of NTP occurred in Gorontalo province with an increase of 0.64 percent, while the largest decrease in NTP occurred in West Kalimantan Province which decreased by 1.40 percent.
April 2017 in rural areas in Lampung Province experienced deflation of 0.87 percent. Deflation is caused by falling price indexes in several groups, namely foodstuffs and clothing. Food, beverage, cigarette and tobacco groups, housing groups, health groups, education, recreation and sports groups, and transport and communications groups experienced an increase in the price index.
