In June 2018, Metro City experienced inflation of 0.52
percent due to an index rise of 137.73 in May 2018
to 138.44 in June 2018. Six spending groups
contributes to the formation of inflation, ie groups
transportation, communication and financial services by 0,2449 percent;
followed by foodstuffs by 0.1832 percent;
then clothing by 0,0664 percent; group
health by 0.0127 percent; housing, water,
electricity, gas and fuel by 0,0105 percent and the group
education, recreation and sports by 0.0018 percent.
Instead, the spending group contributes
in the formation of deflation, namely the group of finished food,
beverages, cigarettes and tobacco by 0.0040 percent.
Some dominant commodities contribute to inflation
such as inter-city transportation, rice, onion, chicken
life, potato, chicken meat race, long bean,
veil / hijab, Muslim women's shirt and women's blouse.
Metro City Inflation is ranked 53rd out of 82 cities
observed the development of prices, the entire city of CPI experienced
inflation. The highest inflation occurred in Tarakan at 2.71 percent and
the lowest inflation was experienced by Medan and Pekanbaru by 0.01
percent.
Metro City, in June 2018 based on the calculation of inflation
calendar year (Point to Point) is 0.91 percent and
year on year inflation (YoY) was 1.35 percent.
