• June 2018, Bandar Lampung City experienced inflation of 0.98 percent due to an increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 133.32 in May 2018 to 134.62 in June 2018. Five expenditure groups experienced inflation in Bandar Lampung City, the group transport, communications and financial services increased by 2.48 percent; food ingredients 2.06 percent; clothing group of 1.38 percent; finished food, beverages, cigarette and tobacco 0.24 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel group 0.02 ersen. While for health groups and education, recreation and sports groups did not experience any changes in index.
• The contribution of expenditure groups in the formation of inflation in June 2018 was in the foodstuff category by 0.51 percent, transport, communication and financial services group 0.37 percent; clothing group 0.06 percent; and food, beverage, cigarette and tobacco 0.04 percent. Meanwhile, for the housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel groups; health groups; and education, recreation and sports groups do not contribute to the formation of inflation or deflation.
• Some of the dominant commodities contributing to the formation of inflation include inter-city transport, red peppers, onions, charter / rental vehicles, live chickens, chicken meat, moslem clothes, squid, spinach, and vegetable tomatoes.
• Bandar Lampung City Inflation was ranked 21st out of 82 cities observed in price development. Of 82 cities, all cities experienced inflation and no cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Tarakan by 2.71 percent, while the lowest inflation occurred in Medan and Pekanbaru by 0.01 percent.
• Bandar Lampung city, in June 2018 based on the calculation of year to point inflation of 2.52 percent, and year on year inflation (yoy) was 3.06 percent.
