June 2018, CPI Combined Lampung Index increased from 133.97 in May 2018 to 135.18 in June 2018, thus inflation of 0.91 percent. Based on the June 2018 calendar (point to point) inflation rate of 2.27 percent and inflation year on year (yoy) in June 2018 was 2.80 percent.
Of the seven expenditure groups, six groups experienced inflation, ie foodstuff category experienced inflation (up by 1.84 percent); processed food, beverages, cigarette and tobacco by 0.20 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel by 0.02 percent; clothing group 1.35 percent; health group 0.03 percent; and transport, communication and financial services group 2.42 percent. Meanwhile, education, recreation and sports groups did not experience any changes in index (inflation or deflation).
From two monitoring cities in Lampung in June 2018, all experienced inflation. Bandar Lampung inflation of 0.98 percent, and Metro inflation by 0.52 percent. Bandar Lampung City Inflation is ranked 21st and Metro City ranks 53rd, out of 82 cities that observed the development of its price. Out of 82 cities, all CPI cities experienced inflation and no cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Tarakan by 2.71 percent, while the lowest inflation occurred in Medan and Pekanbaru by 0.01 percent.
The foodstuff group contributed the highest inflation, at 0.45 percent. The subgroup that became the highest inflation contributor in June 2018 was a subgroup of spices by 0.16 percent.
