September 2018, the Joint Lampung CPI experienced a decline in the index
from 135.22 in August 2018 to 134.95 in September 2018, with
thus there is a deflation of 0.20 percent.
Based on calendar year inflation calculations (point to point)
September 2018 at 2.10 percent and year on year (yoy) inflation in September
2018 is 2.87 percent.
Of the seven expenditure groups, five groups experienced inflation, namely
the health group experienced inflation of 1.24 percent; group
processed food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco groups by 0.93 percent;
education, recreation and sports group by 0.79 percent; group
clothing by 0.23 percent; and groups of housing, water, electricity, gas and
fuel experienced inflation of 0.05 percent. Instead, groups
food ingredients experienced deflation (down by 2.02 percent). While
transport, communication and financial services groups did not experience
changes in inflation and deflation.
From two monitoring cities in Lampung in September 2018,
all experienced deflation. Bandar Lampung deflation of 0.20 percent,
and Metro inflation by 0.19 percent.
Inflation of Bandar Lampung City is ranked 39th and Metro City
ranked 38th, out of 82 cities observed price developments. From 82
cities, 16 CPI cities experienced inflation and 66 cities experienced deflation. Inflation
the highest occurred in Bengkulu by 0.59 percent, while the lowest inflation
occurred in Bungo by 0.01 percent.
Foodstuffs group contributed the highest deflation, namely
by 0.49 percent. The subgroups that are contributors to inflation
the highest in September 2018 was a spice subgroup
by 0.32 percent.
