Abstract

 Labor force in August 2018 was 4,232.1 thousand people, down by 163.8 thousand compared to February 2018 and up 159.6 thousand compared to August 2017.
 August 2018 TPT of 4.06 percent, down by 0.27 points compared to TPT in August 2017 (4.33 percent). In absolute terms, the number of job seekers (open unemployment) has decreased by 4.6 thousand people, down 2.59 percent over the past year.
 The population working in August 2018 is 4,060.4 thousand. The number was reduced by 145.1 thousand people from February 2018 but increased by 164.1 thousand compared to a year ago.
 The agriculture and mining category still dominates the main occupation of the population, which is around 43.30 percent of the total working population, followed by the large and retail trade categories; repair and maintenance of cars and motorbikes at 19.20 percent. In the third position, namely the category of processing industry which is equal to 9.01 percent.
 The employment status of the majority of the population working in Lampung Province is labor / employees / employees and trying to be assisted by temporary workers, namely 1,075.0 thousand people and 789.1 thousand people respectively. From this employment status, it is estimated that formal workers in Lampung amounted to 29.20 percent while informal workers were 70.80 percent. Estimates of the proportion of informal workers in the previous year (August 2017 conditions) amounted to 70.29 percent.
 Out of 4,060.4 thousand people who work, 36.50 percent of the population works not full (working hours less than 35 hours a week) covering 9.35 percent of the unemployed and 27.15 percent of part-time workers.
