METRO MUNICIPALITY, APRIL 2019 INFLATION 0.52

In April 2019, Metro City experienced inflation of 0.52 percent due to an increase in the index from 139.80 in March 2019 to 140.52 in April 2019. Six expenditure groups contributed to the formation of inflation, namely the foodstuffs group at 0.3478 percent ; health group of 0.0859 percent; transport, communication and finance group at 0.0388 percent; clothing group of 0.0343 percent; the prepared food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco group was 0.0285 percent and the education, recreation and sports group was 0.0031 percent. On the other hand, one expenditure group contributed to the formation of deflation, namely the housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel group at 0.0218 percent.
