Abstract
Lampung Province NTP April 2019 for each subsector recorded Rice & Crops Subsector (NTP-P) (116.17), Horticulture (NTP-H) (92.02), Community Plantation Plants (NTP-Pr) (90.55) ), Animal Husbandry (NTP-Pt) (113.52), Capture Fisheries (117.23), and Aquaculture (95.49). While the Lampung Province NTP was recorded at 103.22.
In April 2019, some commodities experienced a decline in prices, including commodities in the food crops, plantations, livestock, capture fisheries, and aquaculture, such as grain, coffee, cocoa, pepper, beef cattle, and several types of capture and aquaculture. While the horticulture sub-sector experienced price increases, among others, several types of vegetables and fruits.
In detail, the increase or decrease in NTP in April 2019, the agricultural food subsector fell 1.57 percent, the horticulture sub-sector rose by 0.21 percent, the smallholder plantation sub-sector fell by 1.93 percent, the livestock subsector fell by 0.60 percent, the subsector capture fisheries fell by 0.11 percent, and the aquaculture subsector fell by 0.35 percent. The Lampung Province NTP combined decreased by 1.17 percent.
Of the 33 provinces that observed price developments in April 2019, there were 11 provinces experiencing an increase in NTP and 22 other provinces experiencing a decline. The highest increase in NTP occurred in West Sulawesi Province with an increase of 1.39 percent, while the largest decrease in NTP occurred in Gorontalo Province which fell by 1.60 percent. In April 2019 rural areas in Lampung Province experienced inflation of 0.83 percent due to rising food price group index of 1.73 percent, processed food group, beverages, cigarettes, and tobacco rose by 0.11 percent, housing group by 0.32 percent, the clothing group by 0.82 percent, the health group by 0.22 percent, and the education, recreation and sports group by 0.06 percent and the transportation and communication group by 0.08 percent.
