Lampung Province Farmers Exchange Rates Up 0.37 percent

Abstract

Starting January 2020 there will be a change in the base year in calculating the Farmers Received Price Index (IT) and the Price Index Paid Farmers (Ib) from base year 2012 = 100 to base year 2018 = 100. Both types of indexes are important components in calculating Farmer Exchange Rates (NTP). This basic year change was made to adjust changes in production patterns, production costs, and consumption of agricultural households in rural areas. In the base year 2018 = 100 there was an increase in the coverage of the number of commodities both in It and Ib commodities compared to the base year of 2012 = 100

Lampung Province NTP January 2020 for each subsector recorded Rice & Palawija Subsector (NTP-P) (98.90), Horticulture (NTP-H) (98.99), People's Plantation Plantations (NTP-Pr) (95.74 ), Animal Husbandry (NTP-Pt) (100.14), Capture Fisheries (101.71), and Aquaculture (101.17). While the Lampung Province NTP was recorded at 97.92.

Of the 34 provinces whose price developments were observed in January 2020, 24 provinces experienced an increase in FTT and 10 other provinces experienced a decline. The highest increase in FTT occurred in Riau Province with an increase of 5.59 percent, while the largest decline in FTT occurred in Aceh Province which fell by 0.97 percent.
