In May 2024, Metro City's Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation will be 2.25 percent

Y-on-y inflation occurs due to an increase in prices as indicated by rising prices all expenditure group indexes, namely: food, beverage andtobacco by 6.49 percent; clothing and footwear group of 1.29 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel groups amounting to 0.22 percent; health group by 1.73 percent; transportation group by 0.66 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 0.69 percent;education group by 1.20 percent; and food supply groups and drinks/restaurants at 1.50 percent. Meanwhile, the group that experienced decrease in index, namely: equipment, equipment and maintenance groups household routine by 0.57 percent; information, communication and services group finance by 1.38 percent; and group personal care and other services by 0.04 percent.
