April 2025, the year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation rate in Metro Municipality was recorded at 2.08 percent

Year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation occurred due to price increases reflected in the rise of most expenditure group indices, namely: food, beverages, and tobacco by 2.02 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel by 2.73 percent; health by 2.17 percent; transportation by 2.54 percent; recreation, sport, and culture by 0.59 percent; education by 2.62 percent; food and beverage provision/restaurants by 1.48 percent; and personal care and other services by 8.10 percent. Meanwhile, the groups that experienced a decline in indices were clothing and footwear by 0.02 percent; household equipment, tools, and routine household maintenance by 0.93 percent; and information, communication, and financial services by 0.35 percent.
