The Launching of Kelurahan Cantik

Socialization Activities and the Launching of the "Kelurahan Cantik" in Yosodadi Village on September 19, 2023, were attended by the District Head of Metro City, Mr. Ferry Handono, and the Head of BPS (Statistics Indonesia) of Metro City, Mrs. Wintarti Dyah Indriani.

In her speech, the Head of BPS Metro City conveyed that one of the programs conducted by BPS in 2023 is the development of the "Kelurahan Cantik". This sectoral statistical guidance activity is the third-year initiative as a manifestation of BPS's role as a means to strengthen the institutional capacity of BPS and its role as the guiding entity for statistical data, which has a mission in overseeing the implementation of Satu Data Indonesia.

It was also conveyed that the purpose of this program is to increase literacy, awareness, and the active role of village apparatus and the community in the conduct of statistical activities. It also aims for the Standardization of Statistical Data Management to maintain the quality and comparability of statistical indicators, to optimize the use and utilization of statistical data so that development programs in the village are targeted accurately. The final objective is to establish statistical agents at the village level.

In her address, the Head of BPS stressed the need for support from all parties to make this "Kelurahan Cantik" program successful. It is not enough for BPS to be the leading sector in statistics development, but this program also requires support from the government, from the central, regional, to village governments, as well as the community.

The District Head of Metro Timur fully supports and welcomes this BPS program, which aligns with the provincial government of Lampung's initiative named "Smart Village", which is currently being developed in the Metro Timur sub-district.

Located in Yosodadi Village, the District Head of Metro Timur, together with the Head of BPS Metro City and the Village Chief of Yosodadi, Fitri Minarni, signed the Charter of Launch for the "Kelurahan Cinta Statistik" program and the Inauguration of the Statistical Agent, RAHMADIA NURMANDA, in Yosodadi Village.
