The Micro and Small Industry Survey (IMK) for the First Quarter of 2024

On Wednesday, April 3 2024, the Statistics of Metro Municipality conducted the data collection for the 2024 Micro and Small Industry Survey (IMK). This survey is carried out quarterly and targets micro and small industrial enterprises within the sample to produce aggregated data at the Lampung Province level. This activity involves 29 samples spread across various districts in Metro City, including Metro Pusat, Metro Timur, and Metro Utara.

Micro and Small Industries (IMK) are part of the manufacturing industry sector, playing a significant role in creating employment opportunities. Young expert statistician, Hendarwanto, SE, along with four other team members, Sidik Purnomo, A Janizar, Maksudin, and Farid Indrajaya, conducted field data collection to explore the business activity phenomena inter-quarterly among the selected business samples that will be followed in the subsequent quarter.

Ensuring data consistency and capturing up-to-date economic phenomena that reflect the actual economic movements in the region are challenges in data quality, aiming to produce an accurate Micro and Small Industries Production Growth Index. Support from business operators is crucial, enabling government policies to be precisely targeted.
