Number of Agricultural Business Managers Aged 65+ in Metro Municipality in 2023

In Metro Municipality, there are 1,573 agricultural business managers aged 65 and above. This age group remains actively involved in the agricultural sector, with the highest distribution in North Metro (550 individuals) and the lowest in Central Metro (204 individuals).

Agriculture continues to be the primary livelihood for many residents, especially among the elderly. The sustainability of the agricultural sector heavily relies on farmer regeneration and innovation in agricultural business management.
