After Eid Al-Fitr, Metro Municipality Inflation Still Occurs: What's the Cause?

Statistics of Metro Municipality notes that in April 2025, there will be inflation of 0.66 percent (month-to-month). Even though inflation pressure was not as big as the previous month before Eid, the trend of rising prices still continued in the month after Eid al-Fitr.

Some commodities that contribute to inflation include:

Electricity tariff (0.84%)

Gold jewelry

Tomato

Car

Red onion

This price increase is still a reflection of high demand during the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr periods, as well as price adjustments after discounts or special programs approach the end of the holiday.

On a year-on-year basis, Metro Municipality inflation was recorded at 2.08 percent, indicating that price increases were still maintained within a reasonable range.
