Abstract

March 2016, Lampung Composite CPI index increased from 124.78 in February 2016 became 125.32 in March 2016, thus an inflation of 0.44 percent.

Based on the calculation of the rate of inflation (point to point) in March 2016 experienced inflation of 0.39 percent, and inflation year on year (yoy) in March 2016 amounted to 5.29 percent.

Of the seven expenditure groups, six groups experienced inflation, namely food group rose 1.43 percent; food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco rose 0.42 percent; education, recreation and sport 0.28 percent; health group rose 0.19 percent; clothing rose 0.15 percent; and transportation, communication and financial services rose 0.05 percent. Housing, water, electricity, gas, fuel deflation of 0.08 percent.

Monitoring of two cities in Lampung in March 2016, Bandar Lampung and Metro inflation. Bandar Lampung inflation of 0.49 percent, while the Metro inflation of 0.13 percent.

Inflation in Bandar Lampung is ranked 13th and Metro City ranked 43rd, from 82 cities observed price changes. Of the 82 cities, 58 cities experienced inflation and 24 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation was in Bukiitinggi by 1.18 percent, while the lowest inflation was recorded at 0.02 percent Tangerang. Tanjung Pandan experienced high deflation of 1.22 percent, deflation experienced Mamuju lower by 0.02 percent.

Foodstuffs contributes inflation of 1.43 percent. The subgroup being the largest contributor to inflation spices subgroup amounted to 20.52 percent.
