Abstract

July 2016, Lampung Composite CPI index increased from 125.34 in June 2016 became 125.97 in July 2016, thus an inflation of 0.49 percent.

Based on the calculation of the rate of inflation (point to point) in July 2016 experienced inflation of 0.90 percent, and inflation year on year (yoy) in July 2016 amounted to 2.52 percent.

Of the seven expenditure groups, five groups experienced inflation, namely food group rose 1.02 percent; food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco gained 0.21 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel rose 0.14 percent; clothing rose 0.11 percent; and transportation, communication and financial services rose 1.09 percent. Conversely health groups experienced deflation (down 0.09 percent), and education, recreation, and sport fell 0.12 percent.

Inflation in Bandar Lampung is ranked 53rd and Metro City ranked 68th, from 82 cities observed price changes. Of the 82 cities, 78 cities experienced inflation and four cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation was in Tanjung Pandan amounted to 2.34 percent, while the lowest inflation was recorded at 0.06 percent Gorontalo. Jayapura experienced high deflation of 1.10 percent, deflation experienced Maumere lower by 0.05 percent.

Foodstuff provides the largest share of inflation is 0.49 percent. The subgroup being the largest contributor to inflation is a subgroup of spices by 0.27 percent.
