November 2016, the city of Bandar Lampung inflation is 0.43 percent. Of the seven expenditure groups, four groups contributed inflation in Bandar Lampung namely the food group contributed inflation of 0.36 percent; food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco by 0.03 per cent; health group by 0,01 percent; and transportation, communication and financial services 0.04 percent. While the clothing group contributed to deflation of 0.01 percent. While housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel and education, recreation and sport do not contribute to inflation.
Some of the dominant commodity inflation contributed include red chili, onion, pulse rate phone, cayenne pepper, bottled water, beans, oranges, cigarettes, porridge, and tomato.
Based on the calculation of the Consumer Price Index (CPI), the inflation of Bandar Lampung due to an increase in foodstuff index rose by 1.55 percent; food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco were up 0.19 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel rose 0.01 percent; health group rose by 0.11 percent; and transportation, communication and financial services rose by 0.23 percent. Instead the clothing group index decline of 0.33 per cent; and education, recreation, and sport was down 0.03 percent.
Inflation in Bandar Lampung is ranked 48th of the 82 cities observed price changes. Of the 82 cities, 78 cities experienced inflation, while 4 experienced deflation. The highest inflation was in Manado by 2.86 percent, while the lowest inflation was recorded at 0.05 percent Singkawang. High deflation experienced Bau-Bau by 1.54 percent, while the lowest was in Kendari deflation of 0.22 percent.
Bandar Lampung, in November 2016 based on the calculation of the rate of inflation (point to point) amounted to 2.03 percent and inflation year on year (yoy) was 3,23 percent.
