December 2016, the city of Bandar Lampung inflation which was 0.70
percent. Of the seven expenditure groups, five groups contributed
inflation in Bandar Lampung, namely foodstuffs contributes inflation of
0.13 percent; food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco by 0.03 per cent;
housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel by 0.43 percent; clothing
group by 0.01 percent; and transportation, communication and financial
services by 0.10 percent. Meanwhile, a group of health and education,
recreation and sport do not contribute to inflation.
Some of the dominant commodity inflation contributed include the rental
house, eggs, brick / stone tela, pulse rate phone, orange, squid, home
rentals, wages housemaids, cayenne pepper and chicken meat.
Based on the calculation of the Consumer Price Index (CPI), the
inflation of Bandar Lampung occurs because of an increase in the index
in the group housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel by 1.65 percent;
transport, communication and financial services rose 0.70 percent;
foodstuffs rose 0.51 percent; clothing rose 0.24 percent; food,
beverages, and tobacco products rose 0.16 percent; education, recreation
and sport up 0.01 percent. Instead the health group index decline of
0.03 percent.
Inflation in Bandar Lampung is ranked 23 of the 82 cities observed price
changes. Of the 82 cities, 78 cities experienced inflation, while 4
experienced deflation. The highest inflation was in Lhokseumawe by 2.25
percent, while the lowest inflation was in Padangsidempuan and
Tembilahan 0.02 percent. Manado experienced high deflation of 1.52
percent, while the lowest was in Tegal deflation of 0.09 percent.
Bandar Lampung, in December 2016 based on the calculation of the rate of
inflation (point to point) was at 2.75 percent and inflation year on
year (yoy) also at 2.75 percent.
