December 2015, the city of Bandar Lampung back inflation which amounted to 1.17 percent. Three groups of expenditure contributed inflation in Bandar Lampung, namely foodstuffs at 0.91 percent; food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco by 0.19 percent; and housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel by 0.07 percent. Whereas the other four groups, namely the group health, clothing, education, recreation and sports, and group transport, communications, and financial services contributed little once in inflation in December 2015.
Some dominant commodity inflation contributed include red pepper, red onion, cigarettes, eggs, electricity, water tariff PAM, chicken, beans, chili, garlic, and cung kediro.
Based on the calculation of the Consumer Price Index (CPI), inflation of Bandar Lampung occurs because of the rise in foodstuff index rose by 3.83 percent; food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco rose 1.12 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel rose by 0.29 percent; clothing rose 0.05 percent; health group rose 0.04 percent; and education, recreation, and sport climbed 0.04 percent. While the group index declines or deflation, namely transport, communication and financial services fell by 0.04 percent.
Inflation Bandar Lampung was ranked 30th out of 82 cities which observed price changes. Of the 82 cities, all experienced inflation. The highest inflation was in Merauke by 2.87 percent, while the lowest inflation experienced in Cirebon by 0.27 percent.
Bandar Lampung, in December 2015 based on the calculation of the rate of inflation (point to point) and inflation year on year (yoy) was 4.65 percent.
