June 2022, Metro City experienced inflation of 1.07 percent

In June 2022, Metro City experienced inflation of 1.07 percent. There was an increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 112.62 in May 2022 to 113.82 in June 2022. Inflation occurred due to price increases in ten expenditure groups namely, food, beverages, and tobacco by 2.85 percent ; clothing and footwear group by 0.35 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuel groups by 0.01 percent; household equipment, equipment, and routine maintenance group by 0.78 percent; health group by 0.07 percent; transportation group by 0.26 percent; information, communication, and financial services group by 0.32 percent; recreation, sports, and culture groups by 0.13 percent; education group by 1.23 percent; food and beverage/restaurant supply group by 0.14 percent; and the personal care and other services group by 0.62 percent. On the other hand, there is one expenditure group that is stable, namely the education group.
