In September 2023 in Metro Municipality there will be year on year (yoy) inflation of 2.27 percent

In September 2023 in Metro City there will be year on year (yoy) inflation of 2.27 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 117.14. The highest yoy inflation occurred in Manokwari City at 5.26 percent with a CPI of 119.96 and the lowest occurred in Gorontalo City at 1.16 percent with a CPI of 113.23.

 Inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by the increase in most expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 6.13 percent; clothing and footwear group by 1.99 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 0.26 percent; health group by 1.48 percent; transportation group by 1.89 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 1.32 percent; education group at 1.98 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 1.25 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 1.03 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that experienced a decline in the index were: housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuel groups by 1.62 percent; information, communication and financial services group amounted to 0.87 percent.
