April 2023, Metro Municipality will experience Year on Year (yoy) inflation by 3.89 percent

In April 2023, Metro City experienced year on year (yoy) inflation of 3.89 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 116.25. Inflation yoy the highest occurred in Kotabaru City at 6.75 percent with a CPI of 121.12 and the lowest occurred in Pangkal Pinang City at 2.78 percent with a CPI of 114.15.

         Inflation occurs due to price increases indicated by increases most of the expenditure group indices, namely: the food group,beverages and tobacco by 5.43 percent; clothing and footwear group by 2.79 percent; equipment, tools and routine maintenance group households by 1.46 percent; the health group by 1.75 percent;transportation group by 11.16 percent; recreation, sports, and groups culture by 3.55 percent; the education group by 1.26 percent; group provision of food and drink/restaurant by 2.84 percent; and groups personal care and other services by 3.68 percent. While group expenses that experienced a decrease in index, namely: the housing, water,electricity, gas and other fuels by 0.54 percent and the information group,communications, and financial services by 2.06 percent.
