March 2025, year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation rate in Metro Municipality was 1.39 percent

Year-on-year inflation occurred due to price increases reflected in the rise of most expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverages, and tobacco group by 2.74 percent; the clothing and footwear group by 0.31 percent; the household equipment, appliances, and routine maintenance group by 0.70 percent; the health group by 1.94 percent; the transportation group by 2.48 percent; the recreation, sports, and culture group by 0.28 percent; the education group by 2.62 percent; the food and beverage services/restaurant group by 1.29 percent; and the personal care and other services group by 5.83 percent. Meanwhile, the groups that experienced a decrease in their indices were the housing, water, electricity, and household fuels group by 6.16 percent, and the information, communication, and financial services group by 0.15 percent.
