Consultation of Mulyojati, Metro Municipality: Advancing the "Kelurahan Cantik" Program

Metro, October 29, 2024 – Mulyojati Urban Village in Metro Municipality held a consultation meeting to discuss the "Kelurahan Cantik" (Beautiful Urban Village) program aimed at improving performance in data dissemination and public information services. The event took place at the BPS Metro Municipality office, attended by Mulyojati’s representative, Mrs. Epi Sulistiawati, along with the BPS team led by Senior Statistician Mr. Yosep, SST., MIDEC, and computing division representatives, Faqih and Robi.

The session began with an explanation of the Kelurahan Cantik initiative, designed to enhance public access to and literacy in statistics. Through this initiative, urban villages are expected to better serve public information needs effectively and efficiently.

In its implementation, two operators from the Kelurahan Cantik program will assist in providing the required data. They will be trained to understand new standard operating procedures (SOPs) and to manage data in a way that ensures easier public access.

The consultation also served as a platform for dialogue between BPS and urban village officials to identify the public's information needs, ensuring that services provided are more targeted and effective. This innovation is expected to enable Mulyojati Urban Village to improve its performance and meet public expectations regarding information services.

This initiative marks a significant step towards fostering an informed and transparent society while enhancing public trust in government institutions.
